The inquisition has begun, but unfortunately it was not us who drew first blood. While George Lucas does not yet know that he is at war, he has unwittingly driven a dagger deep into the hearts of all classic star wars fans. Today the title for episode 2 was released and today millions weeped.
Attack of the Clones…
However this was not Lucas's first choice but he switched it to Attack of the Clones after he discovered Attack of the Killer Tomatoes was already taken. How many indignities must we as Star Wars fans take. I took the re-editing of the Greedo/Han Solo scene, I tolerated midochlorians, I accepted a 7 year old Anakin, and I even put up with Jar Jar Binks…. But now this? When will this stupidity stop?
It's not just that the title is so unbelievably awful it is also that this does not bode well for the movie as a whole. Is this movie going to be even worse than Phantom Menace? Is it going to be even more campy and idiotic!?!?!? I am beginning to think so. How much more must we dumb down these movies? Especially while I love them, the first three weren't complex highbrow dramas. Is Lucas trying to make these movies so awful that we won't pester him for episodes 7 through 9? It's time that people relive that every thing that comes out of George Lucas isn't gold, remember he shits too.
We must fight back, we must make or voices heard. The inquisition has begun! Go to the message boards, write e-mails, spread the word. We can't stop this but at least we can let everyone know that the star wars universe is going to hell!
At last we shall reveal ourselves to Lucas. At last we will have revenge.
